A US-based Ghanaian Computer Engineer, Mr. Emmanuel Moore has launched a business conglomerate in Ghana in a bid to contribute his quota to the socio-economic development of the country.
The conglomerate, comprising Moore City Estates (real estate), Moore Motors (vehicle maintenance services), Moore IT Solutions (tech solutions), and Z&S Transatlantic Services (logistics), aims to create job opportunities for Ghana’s unemployed youth.
According to Mr. Moore, global dynamics point to a changing trend in the manner in which businesses are done in recent times. He observed that critical thinking, innovation, and the deployment of technology form the crust of successful businesses.
“Unfortunately, Africa seems to be lagging behind in these areas. Progress seems to be slow. As a result, the African youth is left hanging with the only option of looking up to government for employment. This cannot be allowed to continue,” he said.
He noted that his reason for establishing the four entities at a go is to help create job opportunities for the teeming unemployed youth, adding, entrepreneurship is one of the surest ways to economic development of a developing country.

“Having been an entrepreneur in the US for more than fifteen years, I believe I have gained some valuable experiences and expertise to come back home and create opportunities for my fellow youths to identify and maximize their potentials,” he stressed.

Mr. Moore challenged the newly recruited staff to own the business and run it with a positive attitude. “It is your business. If you run it well and it expands, you create the opportunity for your peers to also come in and work.
Delivering a message of solidarity during the launch, Rev. Emmanuel Antwi of the Church of Pentecost admonished the pioneering staff to carve their names in the history of the company. He noted that, integrity is the hallmark of any productive enterprise hence the need for the staff to guard against any act that has the potential to dent the brand image.
He applauded Mr. Moore for his decision to come back home and engage in such a bold venture and prayed for God’s guidance and protection for him and his family.
He also called on the Ghanaian community to patronize the company so others would be encouraged to come back home an invest.
The opening ceremony saw Ghanaian and US-based entrepreneurs, politicians and a cross section of the general business community in attendance.
The head office of the conglomerate is situated at Regimanuel Estate along the Nii Odai Ayiku Street near Junction Mall at Nungua in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana.
